The Turntable Shop

North Vancouver’s Source for Turntable & Vintage Audio Repair & Retail by Appointment.

About the Shop

The Turntable Shop was established in 2014 from the talent of Nick Seiflow. The shop was created to share and curate a space of Hi-Fi audio and demonstration of the technicalities behind what makes music impactful. As business progressed Connor Ramsbottom began to work alongside Nick Seiflow and developed the future of what the shop is now: a place for specialty audio repairs and Hi-Fi audio sales.

Through The Turntable Shop, clients have access to vintage vinyl, turntables, speakers, and audio gear to accompany the listening experience.

We repair, set-up, sell, buy and trade turntables of any type. We are happy to assess your current turntable’s condition and tone arm/cartridge set-up and we offer stylus cleaning and complete turntable repair and service. We give a one year warranty (tubes and styluses excepted) on all vintage turntables and equipment we sell so you can pick a classic with confidence.

What Our Clients Have to Say:

  • "Fantastic Experience, Cannot Recommend Enough!"

    ★★★★★

Connor was great, he explained to me everything I needed or didn’t need in regards to repairs on my turntable, found what we thought might be an impossible part, and restored a fantastic turntable within my budget. He’s clearly super knowledgeable and wants you to understand what he’s doing as well so you know your table better. Fantastic experience, cannot recommend enough! Now, as he says, to start collecting vinyl!

  • "So Happy I Chose This Business!"

    ★★★★★

So happy I chose this business! Did very attentive, honest, and transparent work on my 10 year old RP1 that needed a bit of love and care as it was running way too slow and the arm lift lever was broken. He gave my Rega that love and care, providing excellent and efficient communication through it all. What I thought would be a long and costly repair turned into a 2 days drop off-ready for pick up. Truly appreciated his service, my vinyl sound incredible again, thank you! Will turn to him again any day, he is the one to be trusted with your turntables, old and new.

  • "There is No Better Place, Hands Down."

    ★★★★★

If you are looking for a turntable or any knowledge surrounding them - there is no better place, hands down. Having taken the time to understand what we were looking for - Nick found the perfect table for us. We could not be happier with our Yamaha - it's gorgeous, sounds great, while staying within our budget. We learnt a lot about vinyl throughout the process, which made it that much more meaningful. Thank you, Nick!

  • "Connor Was More Than Helpful."

    ★★★★★

Connor was more than helpful two days before Xmas! Thanks so much for helping me find a replacement stylus and changing it out for me fast and easy.

  • "I Bought This Set Up Over a Year Ago and it Has Performed Flawlessly Since."

    ★★★★★

Can’t say enough about Nick at The Turnable Shop. I’m a relative newbie and Nick spent hours educating and enlightening me about turntables and speakers. He set me up with a Thorens 124 and a set of Quad 57s that blew me away. He did not try to up sell me and was genuinely interested in making me happy. I bought this set up over a year ago and it has performed flawlessly since. I have no problem recommending Nick to anyone.

  • "Now I Understand What it Really Means to Be Listening to Music."

    ★★★★★

Connor has shown me the door to a whole new world, now I understand what it really means to be "listening to music"

  • "You Won't See Me Going Anywhere Else But Here for Repairs."

    ★★★★★

Amazing service by Nick. An expert audiophile! He fixed up my newly inherited Thorens and made her better than new. So lucky to have him and his genuinely kind and caring demeanor so close by. You won't see me going anywhere else but here for repairs or Turntable knowledge. Highly recommend. :)

  • "Proof is in the Pictures."

    ★★★★★

I really can't make up my mind whether I'm going to come back here for my turntable needs or just to talk to Nick!! He was just amazing to talk to and fixed my turntable's tone arm on the spot!! I found a vintage Akai table that I couldn't find a counterweight for... And he expertly altered my tonearm (which was missing a part) in order to fit a custom counterweight that was just perfect. Proof is in the pictures!

  • "I Left the Store With More Understanding and Appreciation."

    ★★★★★

I purchased my first vinyl record player here and if I ever need to purchase another one, it will be here again. This store sells used record players as well as vinyl records. Nicholas is very knowledgeable and gives honest opinions. He was patient throughout the process and you can sense his enthusiasm for this industry. I left the store with more understanding and appreciation. Thank you very much Nicholas!

  • "Skilled Craftsmen Who Treat Their Customers With Respect."

    ★★★★★

Nick and Connor are brilliant and attentive. Skilled craftsmen who treat their customers with respect and the products that they service with care. Anybody interested in setting up their audio paridise would be wise to talk to them. A true gem for the serious listener and just a damn pleasent place to visit. They stand by their work and respect their customer. Thanks guys. See you soon.
